Charged per registered team or player, in your event’s own currency: the same amount in US, Canadian, Australian and New Zealand dollars, euros, pounds and Swiss francs. A pair pays the per-player fee twice. Taxes may apply where required.

How the fee is charged

  • A card for each event. When you create an event you add the card its platform fee is charged to. Registration opens once the card is added. After the event is over and its bill is paid, the card is released and isn’t charged again.
  • Charged before the event, not monthly. What’s owed is charged 5 days before the event starts (or the day after registration closes, if that’s sooner), with a final charge on the first day for anything added since. You can pay any time before that from the event’s Payments tab.
  • A receipt for every charge. Each charge is emailed to you. Your card statement may show Certamen Inc, the company behind The Tourney.
  • If a card is declined, a $15 fee is added and you’re asked to update the card. An event whose fees are still unpaid 2 days before it starts is locked for changes until they are.

Entry fees stay yours

Registrants pay your entry fees straight into your own payment account. Connect the processor you already use (Stripe, PayPal or Square), or take cash or e-transfer and mark entries paid. The Tourney never holds your entry fees and takes no cut of them at checkout. Your processor’s own fees apply as usual.
